The award-winning charity football match LES MISERABLES v THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA is returning for The Decider! Having each won two matches in recent years, the two titans of the West End will battle it out for the title of Ultimate Champions at Bromley Football Club on Sunday 7th August 2016.
Monday Matters reporter Bonnie Britain was there and spoke to the event organisers and players.
The Les Mis V Phantom charity football match returns this weekend (3rd Aug). Jason spoke to event organiser Chris Key who is hoping to raise even more money for the various charities this year.
The inspiration for starting the event was a girl called Melanie Oakley-Dow who sadly lost her battle with cancer at the end of 2013.
As well as raising money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (a charity helping to raise awareness of cardiac risk, Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD), Sudden Death Syndrome (SDS, SADS), the proceeds from the football match will also be donated to Macmillan Cancer Research and EllenorLions Hospices (providing all encompassing hospice care and a seamless service for adults living in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and surrounding villages).
